Kari Lehtonen

Kari Lehtonen expected to start for Stars Tuesday night

Dallas Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate ahead of Tuesday night's contest against the Winnipeg Jets.

What It Means:

This will be the sixth start of the season for Lehtonen, who gave up four goals on 33 shots in a loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. He's given up four goals in three of his last four starts and enters tonight with a 2.86 goals-against average and .895 save percentage. The Stars are 18th in the NHL with 2.58 goals for per game.

There are likely better options out there tonight in the net, as our models project Lehtonen to allow 2.53 goals on 26.37 shot attempts versus the Jets. We do give him a respectable 54.0 percent chance of earning a win, however.
