Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Matt Murray will man the crease for the first time in 2016 against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night.
Marc-Andre Fleury has defended the Penguins' net for the first nine games this season while Murray has been sidelined with a hand injury. They will likely split duties moving forward. Murray was spectacular last year, going 9-2-1 with a 2.00 goals against average (GAA) and .930 save percentage (SV%) in the regular season, as well as 15-6-0 with a 2.08 GAA and .923 SV% in the postseason.
Our models project Murray to make 23.66 saves on 25.76 shot attempts tonight versus Anaheim, while giving him a 49.0 percent chance of picking up the win.
