What It Means:

Kari Lehtonen started on Saturday, but it looks like Niemi will get the call tonight in Columbus. He's posted a terrible 3.86 goals against average and .893 save percentage in four starts this season, but has managed two wins.

Our models suggest there are plenty of better options than Niemi on a deep 12-game slate Tuesday night, as we project him to allow 3.00 goals on 28.95 shot attempts. We do believe he has a decent 46.0 percent chance of earning the win, however.
