Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick (groin) opted for a procedure Tuesday that doesn't include surgery, the team announced.
Quick is still expected to miss roughly three months and remains out indefinitely. There hasn't been any word about the Kings placing Quick on long-term injured reserve. Jeff Zatkoff will continue to serve as his primary replacement.
Zatkoff has struggled in Quick's place, recording an .839 save percentage and 4.38 goals against average, both of which are league-worsts among all goalies with at least three starts this season.
