Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson will start Thursday night's season opener versus the Dallas Stars.
This will be Gibson's first full year as the starter in Anaheim. He's currently 37-21-4 with a 2.22 goals against average and .920 save percentage for his career. His first matchup won't be an easy one against the Stars.
Gibson enters Thursday's matchup as numberFire's fifth-ranked goalie for the night, with a projection of 28.06 saves on 30.51 shot attempts. We give him only a 43.0 percent chance of picking up the win, however.
