Brian Elliott to start for Flames in season opener
Calgary Flames goaltender Brian Elliott will man the crease as the Flames open their season on the road against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.
What It Means:
Elliott posted a league-high .930 save percentage last season, and has spent the last five years sharing starting goalie duties on the St. Louis Blues. He will likely see a much bigger workload on the Flames this season.
We project Elliott to post a .920 save percentage and 2.08 goals against average this season, though he is only our sixth-ranked goalie for daily fantasy purposes on Wednesday night.
