Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen will get the start between the pipes to open the season on the road against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday.
Toronto acquired Andersen in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks in the off-season, and he is in line to be the clear-cut number-one goaltender on the Leafs.
With Anaheim last season, Andersen recorded a 2.30 goals against average (11th in the NHL) and .919 save percentage (17th). He finished with a 22-9-7 record.
