Jonathan Huberdeau inks six-year contract with Panthers
The Florida Panthers have inked forward Jonathan Huberdeau to a six-year contract extension worth $35.4 million.
The new contract, which carries the same length and total value that Huberdeau's teammate Aleksander Barkov inked in January, will have an annual average value of $5.9 million. The new deal will take effect after the 2016-17 season. Huberdeau played 76 games last season and his 20 goals and 59 points were both career-highs.
Huberdeau was poor at driving possession however. His 48.5 Corsi For Percentage and his -0.3 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength were both career-lows.
