Johansson and the Capitals were able to come to an agreement just before their arbitration hearing -- scheduled for Wednesday -- took place. His deal carries a $4.58 million annual cap hit, and is a sizable raise from his $3.75 million salary from last season. Johansson tallied 46 points (17 goals, 29 assists) in 74 games in 2015-16.

Johansson has been a consistent and solid point producer, tallying between 44 and 47 points in each of the last three seasons. He was just average at driving possession last season, however, posting a Corsi For Percentage of 50.1 and a Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength of -0.6.
