Shane Doan re-signs with Coyotes
Arizona Coyotes right winger Shane Doan has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million that will keep him with the club for the 2016-2017 season.
What It Means:
Expectations within the organization were originally that Doan would sign before he became a free agent at the beginning of July, but even after that point, his future with the only franchise he's ever played for was not in jeopardy.
Doan had 47 points in 72 games last season, and his 28 goals were his most since the 2008-2009 season. His 48.9 Corsi For Percentage ranked third among Coyotes forwards that played at least 15 games this year.
