Rangers' J.T. Miller gets his arbitration date

New York Rangers winger J.T. Miller has an arbitration hearing set for August 2.

What It Means:

Miller just finished a one-year, $874,000 contract, but is likely due for a significant raise. He received the most playing time of his career -- his 82 games were 24 than his previous high, and his 15:02 minutes per game were a career high -- and responded with 22 goals and 21 assists, both of which were also career-bests.

Miller was average at driving possession, however, posting a career-low Corsi For Percentage of 49.2, complemented by a career-best Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength of 2.7. He won't turn 24 years-old until March of 2017.
