At just 24 years-old, he showed tremendous promise last season by recording a .922 save percentage in 20 contests, four more games than he recorded in his rookie season of 2014-15.

Despite the solid save percentage, Pickard posted a 2.56 goals against average, which was up from his 2.35 goals against average during the 2014-15 season. He's made just 26 starts in his young career, but his potential has to make Avalanche brass excited.
