The Minnesota Wild signed goalie Darcy Kuemper to a one-year, $1.55 million contract.
Kuemper's two year, $2.5 million deal ended after the season and Minnesota is giving him a slight raise to re-sign with the club. He'll be able to test the open free agent market once the 2016-17 season is over, after being a restricted free agent this off-season.
Kuemper's playing time decreased this season, as he appeared in 21 games after reaching 31 during the 2014-15 season, but his numbers improved. He posted a .915 save percentage and a 2.43 goals against average (.905 and 2.60 in 2014-15).
