San Jose Sharks goalie Martin Jones was excellent in the Stanley Cup Final despite losing in six games to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Jones posted a .931 save percentage and a 2.28 goals-against average against Pittsburgh, earning praise from his coach Peter DeBoer. "What do you say about him? One of the all-time best goaltending performances in a Final probably ever, or right up there, anyway. I thought he was sensational every game we played. Gave us a chance to compete and get it to six games." Pittsburgh outplayed San Jose throughout the finals, but Jones was able to keep the games close and even stole a couple of victories as well.
Jones started all 24 games for the Sharks during their playoff run. He posted a .918 save percentage and a 2.27 goals against average across 65 games during the regular season.
