Hurricanes to make a decision on Cam Ward soon
A decision on Carolina Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward, an impending free agent, is expected to come soon, according to Canes' general manager Ron Francis.
Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News and Observer is speculating Ward may be re-signed. Ward has played his entire career with the Hurricanes, but he can become an unrestricted free agent in July.
Ward's numbers this past season we're too flattering as he posted a .909 save percentage and 2.41 goals against average. His goals against average was exactly league average while his save percentage was below the league average of .917.
