Andrew Ladd unlikely to remain with Chicago

Chicago Blackhawks winger Andrew Ladd doesn't sound optimistic he will play for the Blackhawks next season.

What It Means:

"When we spoke after the season, they said it would be tough," he said. "The likelihood is they don't have the room to make it work." He added the uncertainty is a "weird feeling, the waiting game. It's new to me. I honestly don't know what will happen." Ladd can become a unrestricted free agent next month.

A midseason trade acquisition for the 'Hawks, Ladd totaled 25 goals and 21 assists across the entirety of the campaign. He owned a career-worst 51.4 Corsi For Percentage to go with a 0.4 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength, which was his worst clip since the 2009-'10 season.
