Matt Murray OUT

Matt Murray stops 24 of 26 shots for Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Penguins netminder Matt Murray saved 24 of 26 shots in a 3-2 win against the San Jose Sharks in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

What It Means:

With that the 22-year-old rookie now boasts a 12-4 playoff record. Murray's play throughout the postseason is a big part of the reason why the Penguins have gotten this far. The Penguins did have a 41-26 edge in shots in this one, but Murray did his part.

It's quite a story for the Penguins as Murray played in just 13 games this regular season. He's relegated Marc-Andre Fleury to backup duties with his outstanding play.
