Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed four goals on 33 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
What It Means:
The Bolts appeared to open the scoring in the first period, but after review, the officials decided that Jonathan Drouin was offside. The Penguins followed that up by scoring the first three goals of the game. The Bolts will now have to travel back to Pittsburgh for Game 7 of the series.
Tampa's first-string goalie, Ben Bishop (lower body), has been making progress, but all signs point to Vasilevskiy getting the start in goal for Thursday night's Game 7. In 24 regular season appearances this year, he recorded a .910 save percentage and 2.76 goals against average.
