Islanders' Jaroslav Halak needs sports hernia surgery
New York Islanders netminder Jaroslav Halak reportedly needs sports hernia surgery.
What It Means:
It's unclear if he has had the procedure already, but once he does, it will take him at least six weeks to recover. Halak missed the last 17 games of the regular season and the playoffs because of a groin injury.
He had a 2.30 goals against average and .919 save percentage in 36 contests during the regular season.
