Joe Thornton's two-point night helps Sharks advance
San Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday night's 5-0 Game 7 blowout win over the Nashville Predators.
For the first time in six years, Thornton and the Sharks will play in the Western Conference Final, pitting the Sharks against the St. Louis Blues with a spot in the Stanley Cup Final on the line.
Thornton has 93 points in 95 games this year, including the regular season and playoffs. Owner of stellar possession metrics in his career, he posted a 56.3 Corsi For Percentage and 4.1 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength in the regular season.
