It will depend on Brooks Orpik's ability to return from an upper-body injury in time for the series opener. If Orpik is available for Thursday's contest against Pittsburgh, then Chorney will be a healthy scratch.

Chorney played a career high 55 games in the regular season filling in for Orpik, who was dealing with a separate injury than what he has now. Chorney tallied six points (one goal, five assists) and was poor at driving possession, posting a 48.2 Corsi For Percentage and -4.2 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength.
