Jaromir Jagr

Panthers' Jaromir Jagr won't take part in 2016 Worlds

Florida Panthers winger Jaromir Jagr won't participate in the 2016 World Championships.

What It Means:

The Czech team was interested in adding him, but Jagr wants to rest after playing in 85 total games -- regular season and playoff -- this year. The 44-year-old forward had 27 goals and 66 points in the 2015-'16 campaign.

Jagr did not score a goal and tallied just two assists during the six-game series loss to the New York Islanders in the first round of the playoffs. He was excellent at driving possession, however, as his Corsi For Percentage was 61.0 and his Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength was 5.4. Amazingly, he can still play at a high level.
