Roberto Luongo stops 49 of 51 shots in Panthers' season-ending defeat

Florida Panthers netminder Roberto Luongo stopped 49 of 51 shots in Sunday's 2-1 double overtime loss to the New York Islanders.

What It Means:

Luongo was solid for most of regulation, but he seemed to be wearing down as the game wore on. The Panthers held a 1-0 lead heading into the final minute of regulation, when Islanders' captain John Tavares tied the game with 53 seconds remaining. Tavares also beat Luongo on a wraparound in double overtime.

Luongo posted a 2.05 goals against average and a .934 save percentage in the 2016 postseason. He was 35-19-6 with a 2.35 goals against average and .922 save percentage in the regular season.
