Nicklas Backstrom scores game-winning goal, Capitals eliminate Flyers
Washington Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom scored the only goal in Washington's 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 6.

And with that, the Flyers are knocked out of the 2016 playoffs. Backstrom was finally able to figure out Flyers' goalie Michal Neuvirth at the 8:59 mark of the second period. Marcus Johansson and Alex Ovechkin picked up the assists on the game's only goal. Backstrom finishes the series with two goals and seven points in six games. The Capitals will now face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round.
Backstrom's 54.1 Corsi For Percentage and 0.8 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength were both career-worst totals. He scored 20 goals and dished out 50 helpers this season.
