Flyers' Michal Neuvirth spectacular, blanks Capitals in Game 5 win

Philadelphia Flyers netminder Michal Neuvirth was fantastic in Friday's 2-0 win over the Washington Capitals.

What It Means:

He turned aside all 44 of Washington's shots. As a team, the Flyers only managed to take 11 shots on the Capitals' net. Making the switch from Steve Mason to Neuvirth has really paid off for Philadelphia. They've won both games since swapping goaltenders. Neuvirth has stopped 75 of 76 shots in his two starts. He'll look to continue his dominance of the Capitals in Game 6, which goes Sunday in Philadelphia. The Capitals still lead the best-of-seven series 3-2, but the Flyers are making things extremely interesting.

In the regular season, Neuvirth posted a 18-8-4 record with a 2.27 goals against average and .924 save percentage.
