Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn scored the game-winning goal in Tampa Bay's playoff opener versus the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night.
He broke a 2-2 tie at the 8:52 mark of the third period. Killorn also added an assist in the contest and finished with a plus-3 rating. He went into the postseason with just one goal in eight games, but he came up big in this one.
Killorn finished the year with 14 goals and a career-high 26 helpers. He posted a 52.7 Corsi For Percentage and career-worst -1.0 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength.
