Minnesota's Zach Parise out for the start of the playoffs
Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise (upper body) will miss at least the first two games of the Wild's first round series.
What It Means:
Minnesota is referring to Parise as being out indefinitely as opposed to day-to-day, so he might end up missing significantly more than just those two games. Parise hasn't been skating with the Wild since April 5.
Parise totaled 25 goals and 28 assists in 70 games, giving him his lowest point total since the 2012-'13 campaign. He owned a 49.7 Corsi For Percentage and 1.3 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength, both of which were career-low marks. Still, losing Parise is a major blow to the Wild.
