Flames yank Jonas Hiller after he allowed three goals on five shots
Calgary Flames goalie Jonas Hiller allowed three goals on five shots and got the hook in a 8-3 Flames' loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.
What It Means:
It was an ugly return visit to his old team in Anaheim. He lasted less than seven minutes. Nicklas Backstrom came in relief and allowed five goals on 22 shots in a wacky game.
Injuries and poor play have made it a tough season on the 34 year-old Hiller. He has an awful 3.51 goals against average and .879 save percentage in 26 games.
