Colorado Avalanche netminder Calvin Pickard stopped 26 of 28 shots in a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.
What It Means:
The win represents his seventh victory of the season and 13th of his career. The former second round pick might have a future as a starting goaltender, but he is firmly planted behind Semyon Varlamov.
For the season, he owns a .922 save percentage and 2.57 goals against average in 18 appearances. Pickard may start again next week as Colorado has a back-to-back set on March 28 and March 29.
