Teddy Purcell

Oilers appear to have Teddy Purcell's bags packed

Edmonton Oilers left winger Teddy Purcell's time with the club appears to be coming to an end soon, per James Mirtle.

What It Means:

Mirtle notes he "wouldn't be surprised if Purcell is sat tonight", which is about as much of signal as one needs. He also notes the Oilers "were looking for a second round pick at one point." Purcell has been previously traded for a third-round pick in 2010 and Sam Gagner in 2014. He's posted 11 goals and 32 points in 61 games for Edmonton this season, putting him on track for his best season since 2011-'12.

Purcell is currently working with a 3.4 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength while his 52.2 Corsi For Percentage is above his 50.8 percent career average. He has a plus/minus of minus-9 for the year.
