Ben Bishop expected to get the call for Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop is likely to start Friday against the New Jersey Devils.

What It Means:

Andrei Vasilevskiy was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Thursday to get some additional playing time, and Kristers Gudlevskis is up with the big club as Bishop's understudy. Bishop has won his previous two outings, stopping 66 of the 70 shots he has faced during that span.

Against New Jersey, we project Bishop to permit 2.07 goals on 26.34 shots with a 51 percent chance of getting the win. As of now, he's our No. 7 netminder for Friday's five-game slate.
