Toronto Maple Leafs forward James van Riemsdyk (foot) could be out longer than expected.
At the time of his injury, van Riemsdyk led the Maple Leafs in scoring with 29 points in 40 games. He was also second on the club with 14 goals.
The former second overall pick was having his best season in terms of possession metrics, as well. Both his Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength (7.7) and his Corsi For Percentage (55.2) are career-best clips.
