Sabres lose Ryan O'Reilly (lower body) for at least three weeks
Buffalo Sabres center Ryan O'Reilly will be sidelined three to four weeks with a lower body injury, per the Sabres.
What It Means:
The 24-year-old has been superb for the Sabres this season. O'Reilly leads the team with 49 points and ranks just one goal behind Sam Reinhart for the team lead with 18. Averaging 21:51 per night, the top-line center has also won 57 percent of his nearly 1,500 faceoffs this season.
O'Reilly's possession metrics are down in his first year with Buffalo. His Corsi For Percentage of 48.3 is below his 49.8 career average while his 1.5 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength is his worst clip since his rookie season.
