Jason Pominville nets game-winning goal, dishes out assist for Wild

Minnesota Wild forward Jason Pominville scored what turned out to the game-winner and added an assist in a 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.

What It Means:

The goal was just his seventh of the season in what has been a disappointing campaign so far for the 33-year-old. The points snapped a six-game pointless streak. He has just 23 points in 57 games this season. Pominville was one of five Wild players to pick up multiple points in the win. Zach Parise had two assists and Nino Niederreiter each picked up two assists. Mikko Koivu and Erik Haula each added a goal and an assist.

Pominville owns a 51.3 Corsi For Percentage and 1.9 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength, both of which are slightly above his career averages. We project him to record another 13 points -- five goals and eight assists -- over the final 25 games.
