Arizona's Joe Vitale (concussion) will not return this season

Arizona Coyotes forward Joe Vitale (concussion) will not return this season, according to general manager Don Maloney.

What It Means:

"There's been no real measurable progress," said Maloney regarding Vitale's status. Vitale played in just one game with the Coyotes this season, and it was back on October 17. He has been sidelined with concussion-related issues after he suffered a fractured orbital bone in a fight.

The 30-year-old Vitale, who is in the midst of his sixth season, tallied three goals and six assists in 70 games a year ago. For his career, he owns a -7.6 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength and 42.5 Corsi For Percentage.
