Carolina edges Pittsburgh behind Eric Staal's two points

Carolina Hurricanes center Eric Staal scored a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Staal opened the scoring at the 3:52 mark of the third period, and he assisted on Kris Versteeg's goal just less than six minutes later. Jeff Skinner added the game-winner in overtime.

The 31-year-old Staal has nine goals and 28 points in 44 games this season. We project him to tally 10 more goals and 16 more assists over the final 39 games.
