3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 3/7/22

Five games are on the schedule for Monday night, and values could be tough to find. Which ones stand out?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Monday night has five games on the schedule. Let's hunt again for values!

Casey Mittelstadt, Center, Buffalo Sabres

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

Casey Mittelstadt represents a decent value matchup against the Florida Panthers. After a stinker -- yes, a bagel -- against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday, Mittelstadt figures to bounce back at home on Monday night.

He has a goal and two assists in his last three games. Even better, the Buffalo Sabres center is playing nearly 17 minutes a night over his last ten games.

Importantly, Mittelstadt continues to operate on Buffalo's second even-strength line and their second power-play line. That role at this salary is almost unheard of.

He had a goal, three shots, and four scoring chances in his last meeting against the team's Atlantic division foes.

Kyle Palmieri, Wing, New York Islanders

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

With the birth of his child happening about two weeks ago, Kyle Palmieri has turned it around. Funny how that seems to work.

He has 6 goals in his last 10 games, and the New York Islanders winger is still seeing middle-six minutes with power-play time and almost zero penalty killing time. The results have been more than noticeable.

Playing against a Colorado Avalanche team that's scuffling defensively should help. The Isles posted three goals against Colorado on March 1st.

The forward possesses elevated DFS potential tonight -- even if it does not appear like that is the case.

Nikita Zadorov, Defenseman, Calgary Flames

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

Lost in the echo of the "Battle Of Alberta" is this gem of sorts from the Calgary Flames.

Nikita Zadorov has six assists in his last 12 games post-All-Star break. He's also taken seven shots in three March contests, so the floor is getting better, too.

Most notably, Edmonton has its own offensive expectation to help Zadorov's block potential. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and the Oilers are third in the NHL in Corsi For since the break.

At $3,700, the possible floor -- and a decent chance of an assist -- are an interesting low-salary add to game stacks in this one.
