3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 1/11/22

With seven NHL games on the slate, where can we find value on Tuesday night?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Tuesday presents with seven games on the schedule for NHL fans. Let's find some value!

Nolan Patrick, Center, Vegas Golden Knights

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

The Vegas Golden Knights center has a little value for now until Jack Eichel makes his season debut.

Yes, Nolan Patrick will play bottom-six minutes, but he does have some offensive skills and some NHL-level vision. He has assisted in consecutive games as he gets more and more used to NHL pace.

Now, the Toronto Maple Leafs come to town Tuesday night. Patrick has quality shot-based metrics (56.9% CF) and could take advantage of a Toronto team that lacks a little depth temporarily. His salary is low enough to take a closer look as well.

Pete DeBoer seems to be trusting Patrick more, and that is good news for the former top pick.

Gustav Nyquist, Wing, Columbus Blue Jackets

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

Gustav Nyquist is making the most of a messy situation in Columbus.

He now has two goals and three assists in his last four contests while playing top-six minutes of late. Nyquist is also seeing power-play time.

The problem with the winger is the same as it ever was; he is streaky. Take this run away from the equation, and Nyquist has 11 real-world points in 29 contests. That is the risk. However, eight shots and three blocked shots in this hot stretch offer a fantasy floor for the Swedish forward.

He benefits from a matchup against a Chicago Blackhawks team that yields 3.4 goals per game and 35 shots per 60 minutes on the road. The salary does not hurt much, either.

Jake Muzzin, Defenseman, Toronto Maple Leafs

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

Defense is always a rough position to play, and Jake Muzzin knows that well. As he gets back into form after an extended absence, the Toronto Maple Leafs' defenseman looked more like himself against the Colorado Avalanche over the weekend.

In over 23 minutes of action, Muzzin had a couple of scoring chances and four blocked shots along with an assist. Muzzin's ability to block shots is tremendous, but it's also taken a toll on his body. The extra break had to help.

Muzzin may get a few power-play chances on Tuesday night, which makes him more attractive at his current salary.
