4 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 11/9/21
Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs as well.
With ten games on Tuesday night, there are always a few more plays that are considered "budget-friendly". Let's go!
Eetu Luostarinen, Center, Florida Panthers
FanDuel Salary: $3,700
The Florida Panthers possess a ridiculous amount of depth. Finnish prospect Eetu Luostarinen is one of the more intriguing ones and has value on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils. Luostarinen has four goals on the season, and all of those have come in the last six games.
Luostarinen has 13 scoring chances in his previous six games and has played nearly 15 minutes a night. The center flashes excellent speed but has even quicker hands. He's also skating with Patric Hornqvist, who does have a power-play correlation with Aleksander Barkov to fill out a Panthers stack.
Going against a slower back pairing for New Jersey could prove to be successful for the young pivot.
Jesper Bratt, Wing, New Jersey Devils
FanDuel Salary: $3,900
The New Jersey Devils forward have five real-world points in his last five games. All it took was a little benching, and the message was sent.
Bratt played 22 minutes in the game against San Jose and generated four scoring chances. It was unfortunate none went in because that top line was all over the ice creating havoc.
It is great that Bratt is bouncing back after such a brutal start. He is a streaky, fast skater who is hard to get off the puck. The key for the Swedish winger is he must be engaged at all times.
New Jersey does draw their toughest test of the season in Florida, but the Panthers are unrested after playing the New York Rangers last night.
This is a solid home matchup for New Jersey to mount some offense, and they should rely on Bratt more as Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton remain out.
Ryan Graves, Defenseman, New Jersey Devils
FanDuel Salary: $3,900
Ryan Graves is just enough of an offensive threat to utilize this Tuesday night against Florida.
Graves has a goal and four assists on the season, and over the past five contests, Graves is averaging 2.4 shots per game, 2.6 blocks, and 23-plus minutes of ice time.
The New Jersey defenseman goes up against one of the more offensively-stacked teams in Florida. Florida is second in Corsi For (598) in the league, which should make ample block opportunities for Graves as well.
Graves has scored in double figures on FanDuel in back-to-back games, and Tuesday could be an excellent chance to make it three in a row.
John Gibson, Goalie, Anaheim Ducks
FanDuel Salary: $6,800
John Gibson has been stopping shots like Bugs Bunny to Elmer Fudd as of late.
He has stopped 78 of 81 shots in his last three starts, and he even posted a shutout against the Devils last Tuesday.
The risk with Gibson is the opposing offense. He is facing a Vancouver Canucks team fresh off a six-goal effort versus the Dallas Stars. That included three power-play goals from Vancouver in an offensive display that could be viewed with trepidation.
However, Vancouver is just 29th in the NHL in high-danger changes generated (80), so the outburst may potentially have been a one-off outlier.
His 40.6% implied win odds aren't ideal, but Gibson has won twice already with even lesser odds this season. However, with the way the Anaheim Ducks goaltender is playing, the low salary is worth a flier.
