NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 2/25/20

A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at a goalie, some high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalie to Target

Carter Hart ($8,400): The Philadelphia Flyers are projected to start Hart at home on Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks. Philadelphia has a 21-5-4 record at home while allowing just a league-low 2.07 goals per game there. That is no misprint. They have won four of their last five games, while San Jose has lost four of their last five (averaging 1.8 goals per game). Hart has won his last two starts at home against Winnipeg and Calgary Flames while allowing three goals on just 58 shots. For an even cheaper play, see who winds up starting for Carolina on Tuesday night.

High-Priced Skaters

Mika Zibanejad ($8,300): The chance that this could be a high-scoring game keeps increasing. Both offenses can score goals against each other, and the New York Rangers will be without Igor Shesterkin tonight (rib fracture). This sets up to be a wild game with lots of shots and chances expected both ways. Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin have played well in most of the matchups so far. Zibanejad has 17 road goals in 30 games, shoots more on net, and has four points in three games against the New York Islanders. The alternate tonight is Connor McDavid ($9,300), who may have Andreas Athanasiou on his wing.

David Pastrnak ($9,200): The Calgary Flames are a plus-matchup for Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. In Calgary, Pastrnak had four scoring chances and two assists, but only one shot on goal. Do not expect one to be the loneliest number on Tuesday. Calgary has yielded 18 goals in their last five games. Also, Mark Giordano and Travis Hamonic are not quite healthy yet. For those reasons, it is difficult to fade Pastrnak. Do you want a couple more? Pastrnak has scored 26 goals at home in 32 games, with 13 of them coming on the power play. Alex Ovechkin ($9,000) looks to rebound against Winnipeg tonight.

Value Skaters

Alex Galchenyuk ($3,500): The trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins seemed to light a fire under Galchenyuk that had not been seen since the Montreal days. He has 3+ shots in each of his three appearances for the Minnesota Wild. Does that continue? Maybe it does. Minnesota is playing a Columbus Blue Jackets squad that is missing ten players. That's right! TEN! Galchenyuk has three real-world points in his time with Minnesota so far and should have a few more opportunities tonight. Also, take a look at Stefan Matteau ($3,000), who has 11 shots on goal in three games with Columbus as well as two goals and one assist.

Ben Chiarot ($3,700): The Montreal defenseman is a risk, but with him playing top-minutes and accruing a solid floor (six shots and blocked shots a game over the last four contests), he becomes a value pick once more. His offensive production (three points in his last four games) is not bad either. With the huge slate, there are plenty of choices to go with from the bargain bins. Another one may just be Adam Fox ($3,800).
