4 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 1/29/20
Quinn Hughes provides incredible value in a solid matchup tonight. Who else can provide salary relief?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars

Christian Dvorak, Center, Arizona Coyotes

FanDuel Price: $4,200

Christian Dvorak continues to have a solid role on the top line for the Arizona Coyotes and was riding a four-game point streak heading into the All-Star break. Tonight is the Coyotes' first game back as they take on the Anaheim Ducks, a team that lost to the San Jose Sharks on Monday.

Dvorak also plays on the top power-play unit, with his other even strength linemates -- Conor Garland and Taylor Hall -- along with Phil Kessel and Oliver Ekman-Larsson. He is the second-highest points-per-dollar center, per our projections.

Jake Virtanen, Winger, Vancouver Canucks

FanDuel Price: $3,900

This is a fantastic matchup for the Vancouver Canucks tonight as they take on a San Jose Sharks team that cannot keep the puck out of the net. Both Aaron Dell and Martin Jones are outside the top 25 goaltenders in save percentage with at least 20 starts, with Jones sitting 47th out of 48.

Jake Virtanen is the top points-per-dollar winger, per our projections, as he sits under $4k. Virtanen is on a great line with Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, and he should get plenty of scoring opportunities.

Ondrej Kase, Winger, Anaheim Ducks

FanDuel Price: $3,400

It has not been a great season for Ondrej Kase, as he has potted just 6 goals and 19 assists in 43 games after having 11 goals and 20 points in 30 games last season. Unfortunately, he's not getting any favors, as he sits on the team's third line and the second power-play unit.

However, he does come in as the second-highest points-per-dollar winger, which is certainly encouraging. At this price point, despite a somewhat disheartening matchup against the Arizona Coyotes, he is a solid play.

Quinn Hughes, Defense, Vancouver Canucks

FanDuel Price: $4,000

This is the second Canuck on this short list, but Quinn Hughes has to be mentioned. He is far and away the highest points-per-dollar option on defense tonight. He is projected for the sixth-most points despite being the 20th most expensive defenseman.

There are plenty of opportunities for Hughes, as he is third on the team in average ice time per game -- just one second per game behind Tyler Myers -- and his role as the top power-play unit's quarterback is fantastic. The one caveat with the power play is that the Sharks have the best penalty kill in the NHL, which certainly hurts his value.
