3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 1/10/20

Anthony Duclair continues to be underpriced despite an elite matchup.

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars

Jared McCann, Center, Pittsburgh Penguins

FanDuel Price: $4,600

Sidney Crosby has been out of action since November 9th, and everyone on the Pittsburgh Penguins has really stepped up to keep things rolling. Jared McCann is slotted in as the second-line center art even strength and also is playing on the top power-play unit. Now, the Pens power play has not been great this season, but it is still always an upgrade being on the man advantage.

McCann has had a decent year, with 11 goals and 24 points in 41 games. Not fantastic, but it's decent and he also averages over two shots per game which also adds to his potential FanDuel points.

Anthony Duclair, Winger, Ottawa Senators

FanDuel Price: $4,300

It feels like I am writing up Anthony Duclair every other time he plays, but the fact is that his price continues to remain way too low despite his production. He led the NHL in goals for the month of December and has put up 21 goals in 41 games this season.

Duclair is the highest points-per-dollar winger, as per our projections, which isn't too big of a surprise as he's way underpriced and has a fantastic matchup against a Detroit Red Wings team that is allowing 3.80 goals against per game — the highest in the NHL.

Filip Hronek, Defense, Detroit Red Wings

FanDuel Price: $4,500

On the opposite side of this game, second-year defenseman Filip Hronek has tied his point total from last season in four fewer games and has also already exceeded his goal total. This game has two horrible defensive teams as not only are the Red Wings on a historically bad pace for goals against, the Ottawa Senators are allowing 3.42 goals against per game which is the third-most in the NHL.

With 23 points in 42 games, Hronek is averaging 0.55 points per game which is definitely solid for a 22-year-old defenseman. In addition, he is averaging 2.07 shots per game and 1.29 blocks per game which helps give him a solid floor.
