5 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 12/19/19

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.

Pierre-Luc Dubois, Center, Columbus Blue Jackets

FanDuel Price: $4,900

Pierre-Luc Dubois is second on the team in points with 22 and leads the team in goals with 11 in 34 games. Not the greatest numbers by any stretch of the imagination, but it is still worth noting that he is among the best offensive players on a bad team.

Dubois plays on the Columbus Blue Jackets' top power-play unit, which gives him further offensive upside despite the teams 20th-ranked power play.

Alex Tuch, Winger, Vegas Golden Knights

FanDuel Price: $4,200

While he plays on the Vegas Golden Knights' third line at even strength, Alex Tuch is also on the team's top power-play unit. He has 10 points in 20 games, 4 of which have come with the man advantage. In addition, he's fired off 47 shots total.

Tonight the Golden Knights visit the Vancouver Canucks, a team that has lost three in a row and is 4-6-0 in their last 10 games.

Yakov Trenin, Winger, Nashville Predators

FanDuel Price: $3,000

For the absolute minimum price on FanDuel, you can get the left-winger on the Nashville Predators' top line at even strength. Yakov Trenin took the morning skate on a line with Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson, which is a group that is an incredible value. Arvidsson has missed the last 10 games but could be back tonight.

While Trenin does not play on the power play and has eclipsed 10 minutes of playing time in only two of his five games, he has two points and took at least two shots in three of his five games. He probably doesn't have much upside, but he is a very cheap play who could definitely get on the scoresheet based on his linemates and matchup against the Ottawa Senators.

Josh Morrissey, Defense, Winnipeg Jets

FanDuel Price: $4,000

With 19 points in 32 games to go along with 64 shots and 28 blocks, Josh Morrissey has really taken advantage of the increased workload with guys like Dustin Byfuglien and Jacob Trouba no longer around. He is currently playing on the team's second power-play unit but has spent plenty of time on the top group, as well.

The home matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks is a great one. The Blackhawks are allowing 3.14 goals per game, which is below average, and their 80.0 percent penalty kill is pretty average. In addition, Morrissey comes in as far and away the top point-per-dollar play, per our projections.

Jakob Chychrun, Defense, Arizona Coyotes

FanDuel Price: $3,700

While 13 points in 36 games isn't very good, it is not really the offense that you are gunning for when you roll with Jakob Chychrun. He brings a very high floor to the table as his 80 shots (2.22 per game) and 57 blocks (1.58 per game) are very nice.

Chychrun will get some run on the Arizona Coyotes' second power-play unit, which gives him a bit of offensive upside. He is the second-best point-per-dollar play, according to our projections.
