5 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 12/5/19

Colorado goalie Pavel Francouz is underpriced tonight when compared to our projections. Where else can you find value?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.

Filip Chytil, Center, New York Rangers

FanDuel Price: $4,400

Filip Chytil has certainly slowed down since coming out of the gate red-hot after his call-up. He has unfortunately been moved down the lineup as the New York Rangers balance their lines a bit. He's playing on the third line at even strength -- with Pavel Buchnevich and Jesper Fast -- and has possibly been bumped off the power-play, as well.

The matchup tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets is a solid one, as they are a team that sits 26th in the NHL with just 26 points in 27 games.

Conor Garland, Winger, Arizona Coyotes

FanDuel Price: $3,700

With just one point in his last seven games, Conor Garland isn't doing so hot. However, he's still piling up shots in this time period. He has averaged about three shots per game, which gives him a floor that isn't disastrous while he tries to get his offense going again.

Garland plays on the second power-play unit and is the top point-per-dollar play among wingers, per our projections.

Joel Armia, Winger, Montreal Canadiens

FanDuel Price: $4,300

The Montreal Canadiens host the Colorado Avalanche -- a team that is on the tail-end of a back-to-back after defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. They'll roll out backup goaltender Pavel Francouz, who has been solid this season with a 2.48 goals against average (GAA) and a .924 save percentage (SV%).

Joel Armia plays on what you would likely call the third line at even strength, but he is on the top power-play unit, giving him some upside.

Jaccob Slavin, Defense, Carolina Hurricanes

FanDuel Price: $4,600

Jaccob Slavin has a nice floor with high-ceiling upside. He has a solid 16 points in 28 games, but it is his shots and blocked shots that really boost his value. He averages 2.18 shots and 1.57 blocks per game.

Unfortunately, Slavin doesn't spend much time on the power play for the Carolina Hurricanes, averaging a measly 10 seconds per game with the man advantage. That is what makes his point total so impressive -- it all occurs at even strength.

Pavel Francouz, Goaltender, Colorado Avalanche

FanDuel Price: $7,700

Francouz was touched on above, but that doesn't mean we want to stack against him completely. He has solid numbers, which we touched on, and he is also the top point-per-dollar play among goaltenders, per our projections. In addition, he has the highest raw FanDuel points projection, as well. All of this as he is the ninth-highest priced goaltender among the 18 starters tonight.

The Canadiens just recently snapped their eight-game losing streak, and Francouz will look to start another losing skid for the Habs.
