NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 12/2/19

Who should anchor your FanDuel lineups on Monday's five-game slate?

A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalie to Target

Semyon Varlamov ($7,800) - Varlamov draws a road matchup with the Detroit Red Wings, who rate out 28th in Corsi For percentage and expected goals per 60 minutes. Varlamov rates second among starting goaltenders on the slate in goals saved above expectation.

His New York Islanders also have the highest win odds of the night, making him an anchor option at goaltender.

Others to Consider: Linus Ullmark ($7,400), Henrik Lundqvist ($7,600)

High-Priced Skaters

Jack Eichel ($8,400) - Eichel is up against Louis Domingue and the New Jersey Devils. Domingue leads all 10 starting goalies in save percentage and Fenwick save percentage, but that may not matter against the Buffalo Sabres at home.

Eichel himself ranks seventh in goal odds, according to numberFire's projections, and on a night where goals could be scarce, he stands out. With a point in nine straight games, Eichel should be considered a building block.

Mark Stone ($7,200) - Stone's Vegas Golden Knights own the night's highest implied total, and that carries value on a small slate. Stone rates out seventh in the NHL in expected individual goals and should be likely to cash in tonight. numberFire's projections give him a 53% chance to score.

Stone has recorded points in two of his past five games, and there's a lot of risk -- but the upside is very obvious for the Golden Knights' entire second line (Stone, Paul Stastny, and Max Pacioretty) have stacking appeal.

Others to Consider: Patrick Kane ($8,600), Artemi Panarin ($8,200), Victor Olofsson ($6,500)

Value Skaters

Sam Reinhart ($5,200) - Reinhart is a piece of the Sabres' top line and top power play line. The Sabres' implied goal total ranks third on the night, and Buffalo has a sizable Corsi For advantage over the Devils. He fits well into Sabres stacks at just $5,200.

Ondrej Kase ($3,900) - Kase is numberFire's top value play of the night. The third-line winger plays on the second power play unit for the Anaheim Ducks. Kase's box score production hasn't been there, and that's a bummer for his FanDuel production overall, yet the Ducks are favored over the Los Angeles Kings, who are just 26th in penalty kill percentage.

Others to Consider: Paul Stastny ($4,500), Cam Fowler ($4,800), Ryan Pulock ($4,500), Henri Jokiharju ($3,500)
