3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 11/8/19

Sven Baertschi is making his season debut and is priced at the minimum. Who else can you turn to for low-cost production?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.

Charlie Coyle, Center, Boston Bruins

FanDuel Price: $4,300

The Boston Bruins are on the road tonight, taking on the Detroit Red Wings, and all the rage -- rightfully so -- has been about how unbelievable the Bruins' top line has been. Charlie Coyle is not on said line. He is currently playing on the team's third line at even strength and spends some time on the second power-play unit.

Coyle has just 5 points in 15 games, which is obviously terrible, and his 29 shots in 15 games is not great to see, either. But in two games last week, Coyle put up six and seven shots, which is at least shows that there is a decent floor there when he's shooting the puck.

Jonathan Bernier will be in net for the Wings tonight, and he's rocking an abysmal 3.51 goals against average (GAA) and .887 save percentage (SV%).

Sven Baertschi, Winger, Vancouver Canucks

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Sven Baertschi is expected to make his season debut tonight and play on the wing with Bo Horvat and Tanner Pearson as his linemates, a great spot to be in. He's the stone minimum on FanDuel, which makes him a fantastic value play -- so much so that he is far and away the best point-per-dollar play on this slate, per our projections.

The Vancouver Canucks visit the Winnipeg Jets, and Connor Hellebuyck has been quite good this year. The matchup isn't the greatest, but the price tag is unbelievable. Baertschi has put up 10 points in 7 games in the AHL, so this was a call-up waiting to happen, considering it was a surprise to see him waived prior to the season.

P.K. Subban, Defense, New Jersey Devils

FanDuel Price: $4,800

The name is there, but the numbers have been horrible for P.K. Subban this season. He has just 2 goals and 5 points in 14 games. His shot rate and shooting percentage are right in line with his career numbers, but he is simply not picking up assists.

The New Jersey Devils made a lot of changes to their roster over the summer, so it could simply be the team is taking time to adjust to one another as there was a lot of preseason hype for this squad. They are scoring just 2.79 goals per game, which ranks 20th in the NHL. I expect things to get better eventually, and it's hard not to like getting Subban at a bargain salary.
