NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 11/4/19
A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?
It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.
Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Alexandar Georgiev ($7,600): Georgiev starts his third consecutive game against the Ottawa Senators on Monday night. The New York Rangers goaltender has two quality starts in his previous two contests while allowing just two goals on 63 shots in that span. His price is still low enough to play on Monday easily. Jaroslav Halak ($8,400) is a nice option from among the confirmed goalie ranks as well.
High-Priced Skaters
Connor McDavid ($8,700): McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have to, at least, be looked at given the shorter slate and limited options. The duo can create four or more scoring chances each at times when together. Arizona's scoring chances allowed are around 20% higher when Antti Raanta starts. That is something to monitor throughout the day. Patrice Bergeron is a good alternative at home from the Boston Bruins.
David Pastrnak ($9,200): The hottest hockey player on the planet is Pastrnak right now (27 real-world points in his previous 11 contests). Boston's top line ranks number one in the league in terms of DFS points per contest. Yes, Pittsburgh's goals-allowed rank is tied for fourth at 2.36, but Boston gets well over a third of their goals from the big trio. Boston's right-winger is about as expensive as he can get. However, Pastrnak is the best there is right now. Jake Guentzel is a winger to look at from the Pittsburgh Penguins if one wants to go against the grain.
Value Skaters
Conor Garland ($4,000): Garland could be utilized in both cash and GPP settings. Over the previous three games, the winger has points in two of them and has generated 13 shots on net with ten scoring chances. This is all while his average time on ice has remained almost the same. Could he be finding some consistency at the right time? It's possible. Anthony Duclair ($3,800) is another player putting it together. The Ottawa forward has double-digit FanDuel points in four consecutive outings.
Filip Chytil ($3,600): The forward qualifies as a center on FanDuel, which is important to note. He has goals in each of his two games played since his call-up last week to the Rangers. Also, Chytil is firing pucks on net, with 10+ attempts and 7 hitting the target. Jean-Gabriel Pageau ($3,600) is a similarly cheap alternative that garners a lot of ice time for Ottawa.
