NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 1/31/17

Vladimir Tarasenko gets a nice matchup against the Winnipeg Jets in hockey's first night of action after the break. Which other players should we check out for NHL DFS?

A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel.com because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.

To help, take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalies to Target

John Gibson ($9,300): At -258 on the moneyline, the Anaheim Ducks are huge favorites to win tonight, and no other team is higher than -173. The Ducks are massive favorites because they are playing against the Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche have won a league-low 13 games this season, and they are returning from the All-Star break riding a seven-game losing streak. And that All-Star break came at a great time for Gibson, who struggled in his most recent start after leaving the previous game due to an injury. Prior to the injury, Gibson had gone eight straight contests without allowing more than two goals in a game, and he had gone five straight games without a regulation loss. Returning from a week-long break against the last place team in the league lines up Gibson for the perfect get-right game.
