Peyton Barber

Peyton Barber limited to 8 touches in Buccaneers' loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber rushed 8 times for 33 yards and was targeted twice in a 30-27, Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.

What It Means:

The Steelers built a commanding 30-10 lead in the first half, leading to a few more snaps for Jacquizz Rodgers as the Buccaneers were forced to air it out. Barber is averaging just 2.9 yards on 43 attempts while working as the lead back for Tampa Bay, who is currently 30th in the NFL in rushing entering Week 4. Second-round pick Ronald Jones looked abysmal in the preseason but may have an opportunity to get involved after being a healthy scratch for the first three weeks. The Bucs visit the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Barber was held to 3.3 FanDuel points (FP) on Monday, bringing his average to 4.5 FP per game. He's the 24th running back in numberFire's Week 4 fantasy rankings, and is projected for 9.8 FP at a cost of $6,000.
