Matt Breida envisions 'great year' for 49ers' backfield

San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida believes he and Alfred Morris are going to "have a great year."

What It Means:

"A lot of people thought this year that I wasn’t going to get as much playing time as I did last year," Breida said. "I feel like me and [Morris] are going to be able to help this team out a lot and have a great year." Jerick McKinnon's season-ending knee injury has opened up a heap of opportunity for Breida, who leads the NFL with 184 rushing yards and an 8.4 yards-per-carry average while working in an even timeshare with veteran Morris. The second-year undrafted free agent will look to keep the hot start going versus the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

numberFire's models project Breida to score 9.7 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,200 in Kansas City. He's the RB27 in our Week 3 fantasy rankings.
